About You:
We are in search of hungry go getters ready to hit the ground running in the field! We’re looking for self-starters with a passion and is customer focused to sell non-alcohol beverages within the sales channels. Targets include, but not limited to: retail/grocery, C-store, independents and other traditional channel accounts. The Area Sales Leader (ASL) is the key front-line salesperson in the assigned geography. The ASL is responsible for retail execution in all channels of business and strives to meet or exceed annual objectives.
The Area Sales Leader reports to the Region Sales Leader (RSL) in the geography.
Things You’ll Do:
• Responsible for growing sales and market share by identifying and creating new business and increasing the customer base within the region.
• Upsell in existing accounts within Geography regularly by gaining incremental placements Ie: Cold, Rack
• Executes Sales strategies to deliver annual volume objectives of the region
• Continuously monitors & reports competitive activities
• Monitors the performance of distributors within the area. Identifies issues and take action to grow sales
• Partner with Distributor personnel to build competencies on brand knowledge and merchandising standards
• Support Key Retailer Sales calls with Region Sales Managers as required.
• Complete daily, weekly & monthly reports as directed via KARMA and other sales tools and software
The Right Candidate has:
• At least 2 years business/sales experience or equivalent education.
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Good, clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Positive attitude and the willingness to learn in a team environment
• Ability to travel daily and work independently
• College degree preferred.
• Experience working for or with DSD Distributors a must.
• Account sales experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office products.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good command of business mathematics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Productive working in a collaborative, team environment with minimal oversight.
• Flexibility to work alternative days/hours as needed with proper notification.
• Some overnight travel required
