ICELANDIC GLACIAL IN GLASS MICROPLASTICS REPORT

We commissioned Eurofins, an independent laboratory, to test a sample of Icelandic Glacial water in glass packaging. The results show that no measurable microplastics were detected using the applied analytical method.

Why we use third-party testing FOR TRANSPARENCY

The tested water sample was analyzed by Eurofins WEJ Contaminants GmbH, a global laboratory network focused on scientific testing and analysis.

We use third-party testing because independence matters. Having an outside lab review the sample helps us share results with greater transparency and gives customers information that does not rely only on our own internal claims.

About the Test

Here’s what the lab looked for, how strict their limits were, and what that means.

  • Microplastics Checked

    The lab tested for 10 different plastic-related materials, from common packaging plastics like PET and PVC to engineering plastics like polycarbonate and polyamides.

  • Tested Limits

    The lab set a reporting limit (called a “limit of quantification”) for each plastic type. The strictest limits in this report range from 0.1 to 2.0 micrograms per liter (µg/l). The results were compared against these limits.

  • Water Sample

    For this report, the lab tested a 330ml water sample taken from our glass bottles ("water in glass packaging with an aluminum screw closure").

Test Results

A result shown as “<” followed by a number means the lab did not quantify that material above its stated limit of quantification (LOQ). In other words, for this tested sample, the laboratory did not report quantified amounts of the listed polymers above those thresholds.
