Icelandic Water Holdings ehf, makers of the award-winning, CarbonNeutral® premium natural spring water Icelandic Glacial, announced today its nomination for the Food and Nutrition Association of Iceland's "Fjoregg" Award 2011 (Fjoregg = Egg of Life).
A total of five Icelandic companies have been nominated for this prestigious award, which is given to the corporation that has shown outstanding enterprise and performance in the field of food and nutrition. The Award, sponsored by the Association of Icelandic Industry, will be handed out on Iceland’s Food Day on October 18, 2011.
Icelandic Glacial’s nomination comes with the recognition of the company’s outstanding practices in the food and beverage industry. The Food and Nutrition Association of Iceland has acknowledged Icelandic Glacial Water for their environmental tactics, marketing and distribution—that have fueled the company’s immense expansion and allowed Icelandic Glacial to provide consumers worldwide with Iceland’s purest water.
Icelandic Glacial was named “Best Water of 2007” by industry experts BevNET, and also received accolades for the “Best Sustainability Initiative” at the 2007 Bottled Water World awards.
