Director of Sales, Regional Accounts

Job Summary

A leader within the organization that plans, directs and controls the sales efforts of the Company 

Essential Functions

  • Provide input to regional accounts - plan and budget
  • Work with retail marketing function to create programs for assigned accounts; sell programs to accounts
  • Establishes discounting strategies and guidelines for selling to distributors, wholesalers, retailers and end customers
  • Achieve quarterly and annual objectives as described by Headquarters
  • Coordinate account execution plans with team lead
  • Directs and administers field promotions to promote sales and maintain favorable relations with customers
  • Address issues related to assigned field offices as they arise
  • Meet face-to-face with field offices to coordinate plans and execution
  • Establishes and maintains a mechanism to collect, analyze and report competitive information to each business unit
  • Measure and Improve
  • Participate in the retail survey process, including outlet identification, outlet visit and analysis
  • Measure account performance; identify and act upon improvement opportunities, as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Job Qualifications

  • 7-10 years National sales experience in the Food and Beverage Industry, emphasis in Natural channel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential in order to work with all levels

within the company, manage vendors, and deliver projects simultaneously

  • Must be able to lead and inspire people
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and solid grasp of web technologies
  • Must be able to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effective under deadlines.
  • Must routinely exercise independent judgment and be able to work and think strategically.
