Renowned European sommeliers, chefs and beverage experts find Icelandic Glacial 'Remarkable'

Icelandic Glacial, the multi-award winning, CarbonNeutral® certified natural mineral water adds another prestigious string to its bow after being awarded 2 stars for a ‘Remarkable Product’ at the Superior Taste Awards; held by The International Taste and Quality Institute (iTQi) in Brussels, Belgium.

The award signifies impressive, independent ‘taste’ recognition for Icelandic Glacial, adding to the brands substantial array of accolades for packaging, design and environmental stewardship; most recently having received BevNET’s 2007 Best Water, and Bottled Water World’s 2007 Best Sustainability Initiative.

The 2-star award was presented to Icelandic Glacial after rigorous evaluation from a tough judging panel comprised of some of Europe's leading Sommeliers, Chefs and beverage experts.

Regarded as the leading independent Chef and Sommelier-based organization dedicated to judging, honoring and promoting superior tasting food and drink from around the world, the iTQi Superior Taste Awards deliver an internationally recognized expert assessment, reinforcing the taste and quality of Icelandic Glacial to the consumer.

The iTQi judging panel’s evaluation is extremely objective with the sensory analysis conducted on a strictly “blind” basis, eliminating any influence of packaging or product identification - resulting in a truly independent and pure assessment based on the following five criteria: visual aspect, aroma, taste, texture and overall evaluation.

“Stylish, elegant, clean and neutral water with a perfect crystalline aspect” were some of the European judges comments that accompanied the remarkable 2-star award. Great taste and exceptionally pure origins combined with an industry leading environmental position as the world’s first CarbonNeutral® certified bottled water for both product and operations has made Icelandic Glacial a true leader in all avenues of the bottled water industry.
