Icelandic Glacial™, award-winning, premium natural spring water from Iceland, announced today the expansion of its home-delivery program to include select areas in Chicago through an initiative with the Chicago Tribune.  The company has been offering home-delivery of Icelandic Glacial™ natural spring water to Southern California and South Florida via the Los Angeles Times and the Sun Sentinel since 2012.

“We are very pleased with the initial success of our home-delivery program and aim to share the raw, natural beauty of Iceland with even more people around the world,” commented Jon Olafsson, chairman and co-founder, Icelandic Glacial™.  “The expansion of the home-delivery program to Chicago is a natural next step as we continue to grow our footprint in the U.S. market.”

The brand’s marketing and distribution deal with Tribune Company’s Chicago Tribune Media Group will provide those who opt into the program with the opportunity to have Icelandic Glacial™ Water delivered to their homes and offices.  Orders are fulfilled by utilizing existing resources, such as customer service support and distribution infrastructure.  This delivery model mirrors the company’s international shipping methods and reduces unnecessary emissions by using existing truck space and routes, thereby minimizing the overall carbon footprint.

“Consumers in Southern California and Florida have responded very positively our Icelandic Glacial home-delivery program, so we are excited to extend the service to Chicago,” commented Bob Thomas, vice president of distribution fulfillment for the Chicago Tribune.  “This allows us to further maximize our distribution and marketing capabilities and we look forward to working with Icelandic Glacial on further expansion into other Tribune Publishing markets.”

As with The Times and Sun Sentinel alliances, the Chicago Tribune will leverage its print, digital and mobile advertising, sampling and direct mail assets in support of the program.  Details on home-delivery of Icelandic Glacial™ in the greater Chicago area, Southern California and South Florida are available at
